• WALK – DON’T LOOK BACK!

  • WALK FAST – DON’T LOOK BACK! Suspense-Thriller Contest – OV-NWA OH Division.

August 9th is National Book Lovers’ Day.  Fall in love with that book you’ve been meaning to read.  For this contest, please note that a Suspense story is defined as a story that keeps readers on the edge of their seats biting their nails – anxiously awaiting and dreading what is to come next.  A Thriller story is defined as a story that engages and heightens a reader’s emotions such as fear, tension, excitement, anxiety, mental anguish, shock, etc.  Therefore, a Suspense-Thriller is a story that combines both genres. Good examples would be The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, Descent by Tim Johnson and our favorite - Sphere by Michael Crichton. When reading your story, if you don’t get goosebumps – neither will we.  Prizes: First Prize: $100, Trophy and Offered Announcement in winner's local newspapers. Second Prize: $75, Trophy and Offered Announcement in winner's local newspapers. Third Prize: $50, Trophy and Offered Announcement in winner's local newspapers.
